Welcome to our world of ruffles…

Our slow, made to order, fashion atelier based in the North of England. Where each collection is designed and the smallest details are crafted precisely in every garment that passes through our hands. All orders are hand cut & sewn with carefully sourced, sustainable fabrics.

Collections of women's, children's & bespoke bridal gowns are available to order with your own measurements to ensure the perfect fit in every garment. From sketch to stitch enchantment is woven into our timeless silhouettes with core colour palettes; seamlessly blend femininity with effortless design.

Thread the Spool was founded by Charlotte in 2020. The brand started with producing small batches of girls hair bows, bloomers and girls dresses in lockdown and quickly developed into a small collection of women's dresses by designing and creating a dress for herself to wear; which is now known as the signature Ruffle silhouette. With organic growth the brand now has core collections of daywear for women and children with a small, bridal collection that is growing year on year.

The creative atelier based in the North of England is the heart of the business filled with samples and gowns. Every garment is designed, cut, created and packaged by hand in the studio. With sustainability being a core value of the brand from the beginning only a handful of silhouettes are released per year and all fabrics are carefully bought.
